The story began aboard a doomed submersible bound for Dresden, where the party found some unlikely allies and made unkeepable promises. Then it moved to the Europan capital of Dresden where the iron grip of a merchant class protected by [[Homebrew Rules & Reference:The Choir & The Legion:|Legion]]-aligned secret police had pushed the city to a breaking point. The party's arrival was the spark. What followed was a costly, imperfect, and irreversible revolution. In the wreckage of the old order, the party encountered [[Homebrew Rules & Reference:The Choir & The Legion:The Legion:Tristessa|Tristessa]], the Demon of Sadness, and answered her opposite number: [[Homebrew Rules & Reference:The Choir & The Legion:The Choir:Jasiri|Jasiri]], the Archangel of Courage, who marked them as his own. From the ruins of a bombed-out cathedral, a new faith and a new government rose together. Fragile, compromised, but real. Their promise made aboard the submersible pulled them west, across the Sea of Ghosts to the cursed isle of [[Homebrew Rules & Reference:Nations & Geography:|Eire]], where [[Homebrew Rules & Reference:Manifestations & Ascendant Entities:Abartach|Abartach]], a sovereign predator older than the nation that had grown up around him, had claimed the region as his domain. At its core, Apocalyptica Arcanum II asked what mortalkind are willing to become in the face of the [[Homebrew Rules & Reference:The Choir & The Legion:|divine]], and what they are willing to leave behind when they find out. \\ Narrative session recaps are available [[Campaigns:Apocalyptica Arcanum II:Apocalyptica Arcanum II Narrative Recaps:|here]]. ==== The Dungeon Master ==== André Palmier
