The American Foreverwar is a three century old conflict between The Nation of Cordoba and The Kingdom of Amazonia. It began when King Tiago of Amazonia accused Baron Leonor Cordoba of sedition in open court when discussing the kingdom's uses of it's reserves of Shardisite. According to historians, Baron Cordoba openly condemned the King's wonton disregard for his people when testing his new magi-mechanical beasts. As it were the king had turned his new contraptions loose on the city of Corado leaving the city in ruins. Cordoba, disgusted with the king's disregard for his own people, eventually led other baron's in secession from the kingdom. After Baron Cordoba was martyred at The First Battle of Cordoba City, the Nation of Cordoba was solidified and the capitol city and the country were named after him. The two nations have been at war ever since.
Slavery Reborn
In the last century, The Nation of Cordoba has leaned heavily on the forced conscription of the population of The Dixielands to bolster it's numbers. Seeing the tides turning in the Cordoban's favor as a result of it's slave soldiers, The Kingdom of Amazonia followed suit while at the same time hiring professional mercenaries from all over the world. Most of the soldiers in this conflict no longer know why the two countries are at war. Seemingly, each side will accept nothing less than the other's unconditional surrender.
