Khalid is the illegitimate Half-elf son of a noble family in the highly racially segregated Arabian capital of Mombasa. His human father was a wealthy noble among the Mombasa elite and his elven mother was kept from the eyes of the public. They tried to hide their forbidden romance for years, but through the loose lips of his family's halfling servants, Kahlid's taboo parentage became known and his father was stripped of his title and lands.
Khalid is the only child in his family, born under the “sign” of fortune. His name Khalid al Mazuz iben Fhazira translates to Khalid “the fortunate one” son of Fhazira. He is very spiritual and follows (deity of luck). Khalid truly believes that he is blessed and cannot be killed. He knows he is destined for great things and is spreading his name so that the tales told about him will be legendary.

Khalid al Mazuz iben Fhazira was killed in the old crypts of Petrolina while attempting to retrieve an item from a cursed pedastal. The curse was laid there as a trap by the primeval demon of regret, Remorso.
