The Mages College

The Mages College in Caracas is the largest conclave of free mages in East America. The establishment is entirely self governing and is completely unaffiliated with any faction outside of the city. Because of this, the college has become a haven for those mages seeking political asylum from both the Amazonian and Cordoban government.
Because of the college's "don't ask, don't tell" policy among it's residents, it it is one of the few conclaves in the world where dark magics can be practiced relatively unfettered.
Powerful enchantments ensure that only those who are reasonably skilled in magic can enter the college grounds.
